In addition, the new model of BYD Ocean Network, the Seal 06 DM-i, has also been launched simultaneously.
In terms of appearance, the Qin L DM-i continues the “Longyan Design Aesthetics” of the Dynasty Net model, has been flattened, equipped with a brand new style of headlight group, and uses bright black connecting decorative panels. The front grille of the car is relatively large in size, with a dot matrix chrome trim inside and ventilation slots on both sides of the grille, which enhances the sportiness compared to the Qin PLUS. It is reported that the Qin L DM-i will offer four body colors to choose from: Ice Green, Jianyao Purple, Runyu White, and Tea Crystal Grey.
On the side of the car, the Qin L DM-i adopts a two-stage waistline, and the rear half has a sloping design. The rear of the car is equipped with a brand new through type light strip, and the tail lights have a structure resembling a “Chinese knot” inside, and use a luminous “BYD” English logo. In terms of dimensions, the length, width, and height of the Qin L DM-i are 4830/1900/1495 millimeters respectively, with a wheelbase of 2790 millimeters. Compared with the Qin PLUS DM-i, the Qin L DM-i has an increase of 65 millimeters in length, 63 millimeters in width, and 72 millimeters in wheelbase, with the same height.
In terms of interior, the Qin L DM-i offers two colors: Haoyue Mi and Xuanwu Grey. The center console has a more concise design, with an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel featuring an embedded design. The floating center console screen is available in three sizes: 10.1-inch, 12.8-inch, and 15.6-inch depending on the vehicle model, and is equipped with the DiLink intelligent networking system.
The Qin L DM-i will adopt BYD’s fifth generation DM technology, equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5-liter engine and a drive motor. The maximum power of the 1.5-liter engine is 74 kW, and the drive motor provides two peak power tuning options of 120 kW and 160 kW, with maximum speeds of 180 km/h. The car will be equipped with two specifications of lithium iron phosphate blade batteries, with a capacity of 10.08 kWh and 15.874 kWh. The corresponding pure electric range under CLTC conditions is 80 km and 120 km, respectively. The comprehensive fuel consumption under NEDC conditions is 2.9 liters and 3.08 liters per 100 kilometers of feeding. In addition, the car comes standard with a front MacPherson and a brand new rear E-type four link independent suspension.
