On April 23, 2024, AITO AITO M5 was officially launched, launching three models, and AITO M5 extended range version of the model changed the same front face as the old pure electric model in terms of appearance, and added two new colors.
The extended range version of AITO M5 model, in the front part of the change is more obvious, the front face has canceled the trapezoidal air intake grille, replaced with the same closed design as the old pure electric model, and other aspects are consistent with the old model.
AITO M5 also introduced two new color scheme in terms of painting, respectively, Tahiti gray (live vehicle color) and Metropolitan red, brake calipers are also painted in red, and details such as the brand logo on the front face, the side-view camera decoration cover at the front fender, the rim and the tail logo are blackened.
There is no change in the interior of AITO M5, which is still a relatively simple design style, equipped with a two-spoke multi-function steering wheel, 10.25-inch full LCD instrument, HUD head-up display system, 15.6-inch suspension center screen and wireless fast charging panel with dual charging positions.
In terms of intelligent driving assistance, AITO M5 still uses a solution with Lidar to achieve high-speed NCA (pilot-assisted driving function) and urban NCA without high-precision maps. Although Huawei has previously released an intelligent driving assistance solution with a pure visual solution, it has not yet been installed on AITO M5.
In terms of power, AITO M5 is still launched with extended range and pure electric two power versions. The extended range model has two power layouts, rear drive and four-wheel drive, both equipped with 1.5T four-cylinder range extender, and the rear-drive model is equipped with a rear axle drive motor with a maximum power of 200 kW. The maximum power of the front and rear motors of the four-wheel drive model is 165 kW and 200 kW respectively. The power battery capacity is 42 KWH, and the rear-drive version of the CLTC has a pure battery life of 255 km, and the four-wheel drive version of the CLTC has a pure battery life of 230 km.
The pure electric model on the market is only available in the rear-drive version, the power parameters of the drive motor are consistent with the extended-range model, and the 83 KWH battery pack is equipped with a CLTC range of 602 km.
The M5 is positioned as a new energy medium-sized SUV, which is of the same level as Tesla Model Y and Xiaopeng G6.
