On August 20, at the Denza brand Technology Day, in addition to releasing the “easy three” vehicle intelligent control technology platform and the Denza Z9GT to open the pre-sale, the Denza Z9 also debuted and opened the pre-sale simultaneously, which is expected to be listed and delivered in the fourth quarter of this year. The overall design of the car is basically consistent with the Denza Z9GT, and the main changes are made to the rear part of the car and the three-compartment design is adopted.


The design of the Denza Z9 before the B-pillar is exactly the same as that of the Z9GT, the headlamp style is slim, the design has a separate LED day running light below, and the front perimeter also provides two liDAR on both sides. The Denza Z9 is also expected to offer both pure electric and plug-in hybrid power, with the pure electric model equipped with a closed black diamond grille at the front, and the plug-in hybrid version with an active air intake grille above the license plate frame and a grid-like air intake at the front.


The biggest change in the Denza Z9 is the rear section, the rear triangle window size has been increased, the rear windshield Angle has been fine-tuned and the position has been raised, the Z9GT’s rear spoiler has been eliminated, but it will still provide an electric rear wing. In addition, the car has removed the black trim line on the side of the Z9GT, but continues to offer streaming external rearview mirror options and hidden door handles.


Due to the change in body form, the body length of the Denza Z9 is expected to increase slightly over that of the Z9GT. For reference, the Denza Z9GT has a length, width and height of 5180/1990/1500 mm, and a wheelbase of 3125 mm.
The Denza Z9 will most likely follow the interior style of the Z9GT. For reference, the Denza Z9GT comes with a new four-spoke style steering wheel, a large floating center control screen, a symmetrical layout of full LCD gauges and a passenger entertainment screen, and offers a HUD head-up display and a streaming internal rearview mirror. Both front and rear seats support electric adjustment, and are equipped with heating, ventilation, 10-point massage and other functions. In addition, the front and back of the vehicle are equipped with cold and warm refrigerators, which can support 35-50 degrees Celsius heating and minus 6-6 degrees Celsius refrigeration.
In terms of power, the Denza Z9 is based on the “easy three” vehicle intelligent control technology platform, and the plug-in version is equipped with a 2.0T engine and a total of three driving motors composed of the power system, of which the 2.0T engine has a maximum power of 152 kW, the front motor has a maximum power of 200 kW, and the rear axle two driving motors have a maximum power of 240 kW. The plug-in version is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack with a capacity of 38.512 KWH, and the comprehensive driving range is more than 1100 kilometers on full fuel and full charge, and the comprehensive fuel consumption of 100 kilometers under NEDC condition is 5.6 liters under feed state.


Denza Z9GT will be equipped with the standard rear wheel dual motor independent steering, the maximum steering Angle is 20 degrees (±10 degrees), the left and right rear wheels can be controlled separately, the turning radius is only 4.62 meters. At the same time, whether the car is pure electric or plug-in hybrid models, it adopts CTB battery body integration technology.


With the Denza Z9GT sports style is slightly different, Z9 is more inclined to the executive level positioning, referring to the body size, product positioning, the possibility of final price, perhaps the main competitors of Z9 include Tesla Model S, NIO ET7, Enjoy S9 and other models.
