Recently, we obtained the latest spy photos of the interior and exterior of BYD’s upcoming all-new model – Tang MAX(picture) from reliable channels, further revealing some of the design details and configuration highlights of this new car.
In terms of interior, it can be seen from the spy photos that the design layout of the center console and central armrest of the Tang MAX is similar to that of the existing Qin L model, showing the continuity of BYD’s family design. The central control panel uses a one-piece design, the instrument panel is cleverly embedded in it, and the central control large screen maintains BYD’s signature suspension and rotatable design, enhancing the sense of technology and practicality in the car. The central armrest area is equipped with BYD’s traditional handlebars, with spacious storage space below, and a charging interface and cigarette lighter interface are reserved to meet the diverse needs of passengers.
In terms of seat layout, Tang MAX adopts a 7 seat layout of 2+2+3, and the second row of seats is equipped with independent armrests, leg supports and small tables, which improves the comfort and convenience of riding. At the same time, there are channels between the second and third rows of seats to facilitate passengers to enter and exit the third row. It is worth noting that the installation position of the control panel and the car refrigerator is also reserved behind the first row of the central armrest, but whether the car refrigerator is standard has yet to be officially confirmed. The third row of seats, although relatively compact, is still equipped with armrests and water cup tanks, reflecting BYD’s careful consideration of the passenger experience.
In terms of appearance, the design of the front face of Tang MAX is consistent with the previously exposed spy photos, using a large area of air intake net, and may adopt the surface shape of “dragon Lin” style, giving the front face a stronger sense of layer and tough temperament. The large size diversion channel design on both sides of the front car further enhances the visual impact of the front face. The lamp shape of the rear part of the car is not clearly displayed in this spy photo, so it cannot be used as a final reference.
In terms of power, it is reported that Tang MAX is expected to be equipped with BYD DM5.0 plug-in hybrid power system, indicating that the new car will have excellent performance in fuel economy and power performance. At the same time, the size of the new car is expected to be similar to the Denza D9, further enhancing its market positioning and competitiveness. Regarding the name of the new car, it is said that it may be named “Don MAX”, but the specific naming scheme still needs to wait for the official announcement.
