In fact, the new pure electric steel gun is based on the Ocean-M concept car that was unveiled earlier at the Beijing Auto Show and is positioned ahead of BYD’s current Seal and Dolphin. Barring accidents, the new car will be unveiled at the Chengdu Auto Show, which opens this week.
According to officials, the new Seal 06 GT is built on BYD’s own E-platform 3.0 Evo, a model designed for young consumers and the first GT in the brand’s “Ocean series”.
In terms of body size, the length, width and height of SEAL 06 GT are 4630mm, 1880mm, and 1490mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2820mm; For reference, the MG MG4 EV XPower has a length, width and height of 4287mm, 1836mm, and 1516mm, with a wheelbase of 2705mm.
In terms of appearance, the SEAL 06 GT restores the basic design of the Ocean-M concept car in many details, and its front and rear light sets are inspired by Marine elements, simple and highly recognizable at the same time.
In terms of interior, the design style of the new car is not exactly the same as that of the “same master brothers” Seal series, but the overall similar, the new car uses the same family-style steering wheel, meters and the center screen host separated by independent design, even the shift lever control area on the central saddle is almost the same.
As for the two-motor four-wheel drive model, the front axle will be equipped with AC asynchronous motor, power 110kw; The rear axle is equipped with permanent magnet synchronous motor, power 200kW; In terms of battery, there will be 59.52kWh and 72.96kWh two different capacities, in the CLTC condition test, the single-motor rear-drive model has a range of 505km and 605km, and the dual-motor four-wheel drive model is 550km.
