On September 10, GAC Trumpchi’s new MPV, Trumpchi E8+, was officially launched. The new car includes two models of MAX+ and Longteng +, and the mobile phone is 232,800-238,800 yuan, respectively. Trumpchi E8+ is based on GAC Star Spirit Electronic and electrical architecture, equipped with ADiGO driver assistance system, in addition to comfort features compared to the E8, such as equipped with a child-friendly rear table, two-row zero gravity seats, and heated steering wheel.
Design, configuration and upgrade
In terms of design, the E8+ is basically the same as the plug-in hybrid, such as the iconic polygonal grille, there is a penetration LED day running light above, and the longitudinal arrangement of lights on both sides, the entire front face is quite recognizable when lit.
The length, width and height of the new car are 4920/1900/1760mm, and the wheelbase is 2930mm. The sides of the body are almost identical to E8, such as the flat window line shape, the raised waist line, and so on, which have the shadow of E8. Of course, the new car has new wheels, 18-inch seven-spoke wheels and the visual effect is quite luxurious.
Looking at the interior, the new car still has a fairly classic T-console design, with a 14.6-inch screen in the middle. The gauge measures 8.88 inches and has a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel that supports heating. The center control large screen is equipped with 8155 chip, carrying the latest ADiGO machine, supporting HUAWEI HiCar mobile phone interconnection, and the whole car supports four-tone recognition. The center console channel area is equipped with an electronic push-button shift mechanism, wireless charging, and dual cup holders are also placed in the central position.
Comfort features include heated and ventilated seats in the front, zero gravity seats in the rear, and double soundproof glass Windows in the rear, as well as sun shades. The new car has a 2+2+3 seating layout. The trunk volume is 345L by default and can be extended up to 1917L.
Finally, in terms of intelligent driving, the new car is equipped with ADiGO driver assistance system, which is standard with parallel assistance, lane center maintenance and increased reverse car side warning, of course, fatigue driving, door opening warning, rear anti-collision warning and so on.
As for the power, the 2.0L engine + motor combination is still used, in which the engine power is 103kW, the torque is 180Nm, the front motor power is 134kW, the torque is 300Nm, and the battery is a ternary lithium battery pack with a capacity of 25.57kWh. Under CLTC condition, the pure battery life is 150km, and the full charge is 1200km. It is worth mentioning that the new car also supports fast charging and 3.3kW external discharge.
Trumpchi MPV model matrix is more abundant, and competitive products are still few
The launch of Trumpchi E8+ can be said to have enriched the MPV model matrix of GAC Trumpchi, there are the most flagship, IKEA suitable business E9, there are lower threshold more suitable for family users E8+, but I do not know whether there will be 150,000 “E6+” in the future? . At present, there are not many plug-in hybrid MPV models within 250,000, so E8+ can achieve good sales with its good product power and GAC Trumpchi’s user base and brand recognition.
