September 14 news Recently, Jiang Haitian, deputy director of the Qingdao Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, was a guest of the “Travel Online” program, and exchanged views on hot issues of public concern.

In the interview, some citizens reflected that if the problem of charging piles is not solved, the potential of the new energy vehicle market will not be released.

In this regard, Jiang Haitian responded that Qingdao is one of the first cities to carry out the construction of charging infrastructure in China, and has been selected by the state as the first batch of pilot cities for the construction of charging facilities since 2012. Especially in 2023 and 2024, the Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government have included the construction of charging facilities in the task of “city doing practical things” for two consecutive years, and the Qingdao Bureau of Industry and Information Technology has done a lot of work with the Municipal Development and Reform Commission as the leading unit. Up to now, the city has more than 85,000 various kinds of charging facilities, including more than 23,000 public charging facilities, which has initially formed a charging facility service system with piles, fast and slow matching, reasonable layout and moderate advance, effectively guaranteeing the use of new energy vehicles in the city. At present, the service radius of public charging facilities in the central urban area of Qingdao has reached 0.81 kilometers, the urban area has realized the “5-minute” service circle of public charging stations, and the charging infrastructure in rural areas has accelerated the layout goal of “township stations” in advance.

In the future, Qingdao will further accelerate the construction and layout of charging facilities according to the promotion of new energy vehicles, and create a high-quality charging infrastructure service system with extensive coverage, moderate advance, reasonable structure and perfect functions to meet the demand for charging travel of new energy vehicles.
