In terms of appearance, the 2025 Song PLUS DM-i continues to adopt the “ocean aesthetic” design concept, with a trapezoidal borderless shape of the air intake grille, and slightly adjusted headlamps compared to the old model. The car measures 4775/1890/1670mm in length, width and height, and has a wheelbase of 2765mm. The dimensions remain the same, positioning it as a compact SUV.

The 2025 Song PLUS DM-i 160km flagship PLUS model adds front lateral collision warning + braking, shift rod lane change, adjacent vehicle approach avoidance, automatic parking, 12 probe front and rear parking radar, W-HUD head-up display, driver fatigue monitoring, Yanfeili 10 speaker sound, car microphone, induction wiper and so on.

The 2025 Song PLUS DM-I will adopt the fifth-generation DM hybrid technology, with a 1.5-liter engine with a maximum power of 74 kW and a peak torque of 126 nm. The driving motor has a maximum power of 160 kW and a peak torque of 260 nm. Compared with the old model, the maximum power of the engine is reduced by 7 kW and the peak torque is reduced by 9 nm. The maximum power of the drive motor is increased by 15 kW, and the peak torque is reduced by 26 nm.

In terms of battery and battery life, the 2025 Song PLUS DM-i continues to provide 12.9 KWH, 18.3 KWH, 26.6 KWH three specifications of lithium iron phosphate blade batteries, corresponding to the CLTC working condition of pure electric range of 75 km, 112 km and 160 km. The car’s fuel consumption per 100 km under the WLTC working condition is 4.93 liters, 4.95 liters and 4.98 liters, respectively, which are 0.47 liters, 0.35 liters and 0.42 liters lower than the old models, respectively.

The Song PLUS DM-i has been the sales leader in the plug-in hybrid compact SUV segment, competing only with the less positioned Song Pro DM-i, which sold 20,573 and 19,316 units respectively in June. With the launch of the 2025 Song PLUS DM-i and the new Song L DM-i, BYD will also form a product matrix of three models in this class.
