The Toyota ALLION is clearly different from the Corolla and Levin in appearance, especially the front face adopts a unique X-type design, adding some Lexus flavor, which is impressive. The tail and sides use a family-style design language, which is not a fashion movement, but still looks attractive.
Interior Design:
The interior features a family-style design language, with a floating 10.25-inch multimedia screen that enhances the sense of modern technology. The Asiatic Lion also offers a variety of configurations, including an optional 7-inch or 12.3-inch LCD dashboard, six airbags, Level 2 driver assistance system, full-speed adaptive cruise, drive mode selection, 360-degree panoramic camera and automatic parking, among others.
Size and space:
The Asiatic Lion has a body size of 4720mm (L) x 1780mm (W) x 1435mm (H) and a wheelbase of 2750mm, providing spacious interior space. The top model’s leather and fur seats provide excellent comfort.
Power system:
Asiatic Lion offers both fuel and hybrid versions. The fuel version is powered by a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 171 HP and peak torque of 205 nm, coupled with a CVT transmission. The hybrid version uses Toyota’s THS hybrid power system, with a comprehensive output power of 196 HP and fuel consumption of only 4.3L per 100 km, which both has excellent power performance and good fuel economy.
Overall, the Toyota ALLION has a good exterior design, interior, space and powertrain, and coupled with a relatively affordable price, the Asian Lion is a good choice for consumers who are looking for a high-performance sedan but are not satisfied with the Corolla and Leiling. Although sales have not met expectations, its comprehensive performance and configuration are still worth a look.
