The updated 2025 Taos has a more high-end design, with a slender air intake grille on the front and a new LED headlight design on both sides.
The front bumper design is more aggressive, and the model can also be equipped with a light strip that visually connects to the headlights. The changes to the rear of the car are not obvious, but the designers have added a full-width light strip.

IT Home has learned from the report that the 2025 Taos comes with an IQ.DRIVE assistance system as standard. These systems include adaptive cruise control with stop and go, front assist, travel assist, and active blind spot monitors.

The 2025 Taos is upgraded with a 1.5-litre TSI four-cylinder engine with new fuel injectors, improved piston rings and an improved turbine housing. In addition, a larger intercooler and a new gasoline particle filter have been added.
Output increased from 158 HP (118 kW / 160 HP) to 174 HP (130 kW / 176 HP).
In addition to more robust performance, all models are now standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission, replacing the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DSG in brand jargon) previously used in the 4Motion all-wheel drive version.
