On August 5, Lu Tian, general manager of BYD Dynasty online Sales Division, announced on social media that the sales volume of BYD Song L DM-i has exceeded 10,000 units in the first month since its official launch on July 25, reaching 10,147 units. The new model will be available in a total of five configurations, priced from 135,800 yuan to 175,800 yuan, and equipped with BYD’s fifth-generation DM hybrid technology, the feed fuel consumption is as low as less than 4L/100km.
The appearance design of Song L DM-i adopts the unique “Dragon Yin dawn front face” design, equipped with “dragon soul pleasant headlight”, “dragon flying wing waist line” and “new streaming Rui ending light”. The rear part adopts the “dragon’s high shoulder design”, and the whole car design concept runs through the “dragon” element. The body dimensions are 4780mm long, 1898mm wide and 1670mm high, and the wheelbase is 2782mm.
In terms of interior, the Song L DM-i offers a brown interior option, equipped with a 15.6-inch adaptive rotating center control large screen, the front co-pilot panel can display luminous geometric patterns, and the front and rear seats are perforated. The car is also equipped with high-end features such as 31-color castel ambience lights, crystal switches, wireless charging, and a 10-speaker Infinity luxury hi-fi system, as well as physical buttons on the steering wheel.
In terms of intelligent technology configuration, Song L DM-i supports intelligent power on and off, 50W wireless fast charging, INFINITY sound system, DiPilot intelligent driving assistance, automatic parking and other functions. It is equipped with DiLink intelligent cockpit advanced version -DiLink 100, using 6nm process chip, computing power 136k, running score of more than 540,000. It integrates 15.6-inch adaptive rotating hover Pad, 26-inch W-HUD, full-scene intelligent voice, intelligent cloud service, intelligent power on and off, mobile NFC car key, on-board ETC and other configurations, which are fully compatible with mobile phone ecology.
The DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system equipped with Song L DM-i can provide about 20 intelligent driving assistance functions, such as ILCA lever lane change, APA automatic parking assistance, ICC lane guidance, etc., providing L2 intelligent driving experience with the support of system software and hardware. Other safety configurations, such as driver monitoring DMS, 3D panoramic transparent image system, and active tire pressure monitoring, comprehensively improve driving safety and convenience.
In terms of power, the Song L DM-I is equipped with a new fifth-generation DM hybrid system, with a maximum power of 74 kW for the 1.5L engine and 160 kW for the driving motor. According to different lithium iron phosphate battery packs (12.9kWh, 18.316kWh and 26.593kWh), the pure electric driving range is 75km, 112km and 160km respectively, and the NEDC fuel consumption is only 3.9 liters per 100 kilometers. In addition, the new car also has external discharge function, the maximum power can reach 6 kW.
